The Apple iPad has been launched. We have made some feminine-hygeine jokes, chortled, and idly wondered if we'll be inclined to buy it. Unfortunately we then had to turn off our Twitter apps because the inundation was unbearable.

There is other important news in the world today, aside from Apple.

Peter Andre, who for reasons we cannot fathom has not become a trending topic, has had a spat with 3am.co.uk whilst becoming a Costa Coffee ambassador. Those cheeky 3am guys have let the world know about his crazy Carey-esque demands including: No Katie Price pictures, Must feature positive captions, and Must only talk about Costa Coffee. This gem's also on The Daily Mail website.

Asda is launching an above-the-line ad campaign to promote two news cash-off coupons appearing in the Daily Express/mail/Mirror/Star/Record, and Sun, Telegraph, Independent, Metro and Times. Fantastic. If you're an Asda fan, we're also promoting a Free BiniFresh bin-fresh kit through Asda at the moment too.

We7, Spotify rival, is "upping the ante" launching a subscription package with unlimited music for £4.99 a month. Still in love with Roberta of Spotify? No news yet as to whether there's a new equivalent We7 lady or man voice offered. Spotify meanwhile is making record labels money.

Astoundingly in our digital age, digital music has reached new record sales.

See, there can be news without Apple.
