Today there's been development in the tech monopolies. Microsoft, home of I'm a PC, Windows 7 was my idea, and recent makeovers has launched their first app for the Android phone. Notably Android is a Google product, and whilst the app's been available since February 1st on Symbian, iPhone OS, and Blackberry, it's now coming to the Google Phone although it's unlikely that Apple will be designing for the Windows Live phone or the Anddoid anytime soon.

The App is Tag, which allows barcode style images - an optical machine -"readable representation of data" -in the real world display content in a phone browser connected to the internet. Users don't have to type in links and instead just wave a camera in front of it - a helluva lot quicker. To use the app you need to download this software and that's pretty much it - now we can all enjoy the fun. It's nice to see companies sharing - notably dissimilar from Apple and Flash, ahem.
