Twitter to remove inactive accounts: we respond by googling infographics. 2

Soon, in an almighty cull of unused usernames, Twitter will be removing all unused accounts. This will anyone who’s had their ‘name’, be it brand or just that username you’ve decided will identify you for the rest of your life nabbed by someone who got there first. Currently there’s a system involving @messaging @Spam which works in a slow, dwindling and oven ineffective way. Whilst @BBCNews and @CMU have reclaimed their names from squatters it’ll now be possible for everyone to do this.
This means that the many infographs you’ve seen involving X% of Twitter users are inactive should shortly change, leaving Twitter one er.. blissful world full of interacting people (and Britney Bots). If you have time in your day, since Twitter won’t announce individual account removal, we recommend retentively bookmarking and checking any user names you have your eye on, and spending time on Information is Beautiful.
